Nicki Adams joined The Team at Optimum Sports Injury Clinic, August 2012 as a Sports Therapist & Pilates Instructor.
Nicki Adams qualified 2005, in BSc (HONS) Sports Therapy at the University of Teesside. In 2010 Nicki extended her qualification in Mat based Pilates, Instructor level 3 with Pilates Training Solutions, and has completed CPD courses such as small equipment, pre & post pregnancy.
Nicki says ‘As well as teaching small classes, I do many 1-2-1 sessions. Attending the small equipment course has meant I can teach a variety of people and keep it interesting! The benefits of Pilates are endless so I’d definitely recommend giving it a go!’
I keep up-to-date with my CPD and last year enjoyed the APPI convention and several day seminars for Sports Therapists.’ The Sports Therapy aspect, I thoroughly enjoyed the training and still enjoy my job now.
Outside of work I love to keep fit and active. Last year I achieved 2 of my goals: a marathon PB and completing The 3 Peaks Challenge.
This year I’m already signed up to The Dirty Dozen (a messy obstacle race) and the Frimley Park 10km road race. I’m sure by the end of the year I’ll be signed up to many more too!
