Liz Patient, Pilates Instructor
I am a Mat Based Pilates Instructor with a CYQ Level 3 Diploma, and trained through Pilates Training Solutions, Farnham with Osteopath Claire Worman & Health & Fitness Professional Belinda Buttery. I teach both group classes and 1-2-1’s, using small equipment to support and challenge clients where necessary (as well as ensuring variety!).
I started practising Pilates in 2007 to help me correct the poor posture and lower back pain I developed as a consequence of doing a full time desk job. It worked incredibly well, and it has been a key part of my fitness ever since. Pilates enabled me to stay fit and strong through two pregnancies, and I found it was a great low impact exercise to enable me to return to fitness post pregnancy as well. In recent years I’ve become a keen trail runner and found that Pilates has been a key part in retaining my flexibility, ensuring I have core endurance, and reducing the risk of injury when I’m running.
I really enjoy teaching Pilates and helping others to gain from the many benefits it has to offer. Although everyone’s aims are very personal, Pilates can be used to support a huge variety of goals.
