Emmalia trained for four years at the University of Surrey, graduating with an honours degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2013. She has since gained experience working both privately and for the NHS in a variety of roles including bariatrics, gastroenterology and mental health.
Emmalia is currently working for the NHS as a senior dietitian specialising in adult mental health with Surrey and Borders NHS Foundation Trust. Previously, she worked for Frimley Park Hospital as a senior dietitian specialising in gastroenterology.
Emmalia also works as a distance learning tutor for The Skills Network, assessing work for the following level 2 courses: ‘Understanding Nutrition and Health’, ‘Understanding the Care and Management of Diabetes’, ‘Improving Personal Exercise, Health and Nutrition’ and ‘Awareness of Mental Health Problems’.
As part of her continued professional development she has recently attended training days in the nutritional management of inflammatory bowel disease with King’s College London, and the Royal College of General Practitioners. Emmalia is fully trained to deliver the low FODMAP diet after completing ‘the low FODMAP diet in functional gastrointestinal disorders’ course at King’s College London in 2016.
Emmalia’s clinical interests are in gastroenterology (e.g. IBS, IBD, gut health) and mental health dietetics, therefore her clinics at Optimum Health encompass these areas. She is interested in gut health and its link with mental health.

*All clients are requested to keep a five day diet and symptom diary prior to their initial appointment which will be sent to them. This price includes all paperwork pre- and post-appointment
